Pack 57 has a number of events the Scouts participate in every year. Each event and the time frame is provided here.
February
Blue and Gold Banquet Crossover
This is a very special event for Scouts. During this ceremony, they change from a Cub Scout to a Boy Scout. Only Webelos may participate in the ceremony.
March
Pinewood Derby

June, July, and August
Pack Break
Pack 57 does not meet at a Pack level during the summer. Individual Dens will organize activities and camps.
September
Welcome Back Scouts Pack Potluck
The first Pack meeting is a potluck supper where Scouts and their families all come together to share food and fun. The event is traditionally held at Wedgewood Park and each Den is asked to bring 1 or 2 different dishes with the Pack providing hot dogs. All families are asked to bring their own drinks.
Contact your Scout's Den Leader for specific details on what each Den is asked to provide and refer to the Pack calendar on the home page for specific time and location.

Feller's Cake Bake
Purpose:
The purpose of the Fellers' Cake Bake Contest is threefold:
- To provide all Cub Scouts and their male friends and associates (like brothers, dads, grandpas, uncles, etc.) an opportunity and excuse to wreak havoc on their kitchens
- To attempt to create a gourmet dessert that rivals anything the Waldorf-Astoria can dish out
- To win a ribbon for having tried your dangdest to make a cake that looks, sounds, smells, feels, and tastes edible.
Prizes:
One cake is selected for each of the following six categories, but everyone wins after the judging! Once the cakes and their bakers are awarded their prizes, everyone gets to eat the cakes!
The judging categories are:
- Best Cub Scout Themed Cake
- Flattest Cake
- Biggest Cake
- Yummiest Looking Cake
- Tallest Cake
- Most Original Cake
Rules:
All rules must be followed. Judges will use these rules as the basis for qualification.
- Only male cooks (Scouts, Fathers, Grandparents, and Guardians) are allowed to participate. No advice, instructions, or help of any sort is allowed from the "girls."
- The cake and all decorations must be completely edible. No plastic, wax, wood, or any other inedible materials are allowed as part of the cake. The only exception is the pan or base on which the cake is presented.
- Cake and icing mixes are allowed; however, it has been past contestants' experience that the more from scratch you make it the messier it can get. And the messier it gets, the more fun you have doing it.
- Family members are encouraged to attend the event and enjoy the cake with the Pack. Photo opportunities abound!
- Entries will be placed on tables in the back of Pack meeting area. Each owner of the cake can select up to 2 categories in which their cake will be judged. The judges will
- Each cakes must arrive at the Pack meeting prior to judging; judging will begin promptly at the beginning of the Pack meeting, after the opening ceremonies.
November
Egg Break
In this fun event, every Scout should collect the following material and attempt to make an unbreakable container that one little brave egg will be placed in and then dropped at no less than 12 feet. Each Scout should gather the following materials. ONLY the listed materials can be used, but Scouts are not required to use all of them! Scouts should design their container so their egg can be placed in it prior to it being dropped. Scouts are welcome to decorate their egg container with markers or crayons.
Eggs will be provided at the Pack meeting.
- 4 Sheets of Plain White Paper
- 2 Toilet Paper Rolls
- Scotch Tape (to hold everything together)
- 2 Feet of Tin Foil
- 2 Feet of Toilet Paper

Scout Pizza Party
Its the Holidays! Time to gather one and all and enjoy a fun filled evening at Chuck E. Cheese for some pizza, games, and a special Holiday gift from the Pack!
