Popcorn Sales

Pack 57 has one fund-raiser per year, but it isn't for the Pack. Scouts are asked to sell popcorn in their community to friends and neighbors. The money made from the sale is split between the Boys Scouts of America (who supplies the popcorn) and the Scout's family. Each Scout will keep a specific percentage of the total sales that will be deposited in the Pack 57 bank account and be assigned cash credit that the Scout's family can use to offset Scouting related costs. For example, yearly dues, camping fees, and other Scouting related materials.

This year's Popcorn Sales schedule is as follows:

How It Works

Scouts go from door to door either as a team or with their Parent/Guardian wearing their full Scouting uniform. Each Scout will have a Popcorn Sales Order Sheet that they should share with their family and friends. The Scout takes orders (item and number) and records it on their Popcorn Sales Order Sheet, along with the name and address of the person who is ordering the item.

Scouts do not collect payment for the orders at this time.

The Scout will then turn in the Popcorn Sales Order Sheet and the Pack will order the items noted. When the order arrives, the items the Scout recorded will be given to them to deliver. Upon delivery, the Scout collects payment for the Popcorn. Payment can be in the following forms:

When the Scout has finished delivery and collecting payment, their Popcorn Sales Order Sheet and all collected payment are delivered back to the Pack. The Pack writes a check to the Boy Scouts of America for the popcorn and accredits each Scout a set percentage of their total sales. Each family is notified of the total amount accredited to the Scout.

Prizes!

The Scout who sells the most popcorn (based on total sales revenue) will win a special prize from the Pack!
